- Meredith Davies "A Village Romeo and Juliet" LP (September 24, 20000)
I've found original 3 LP box set.
Foreword by Eric Fenby "Notes for the Bradford Centenary Festuval, 1962."
This set has 5 sides, and last one is "A Talk by Eric Fenby, O.B.E.."
In 1928 a yound Yorkshier musician, Eric Fenby, offered his services to the blind and paralysed Frederick Delius as amanuensis and general musical assistant.
For the next six years, until the composer's death in 1934, he lived with him in his home at Grez-sur-Loing and made it possible for him no only to complete several unfinished or long-abandoned works, but even to compose a few new ones.
Rarely has any man been in a position to observe so closely, and to gain such an intimate understanding of, the creative workings of a great composer's mind.
In this talk about the man and his work, recorded sepecially to accompany the issue of A Village Romeo and Juliet, Mr. Fenby ranges widely over Delius's art, illustrating his points with musical examples drawn from existing EMI recordings.
There are listed below, in the order in which they woll be heard:-
- Florida Suite
- A Mass of Life
- Paris
- Florida Suite
- Appalachia
- In a Summer Garden
- Cello Concerto

"The Walk to the Paradise Garden" was a great river music.
That's it!
"Sea Pictures", what a cute sound! If you have not for it,
listen to it. It's a nice song cycle.
